Thanks so much for stopping by youtube channel and blog! I’m not a writer so I try to keep things short lol!
This post is on the, Oh happy day! Bible journal entry that I made using some dimensional stickers from Hobby Lobby. If you have followed me for some time now, you know that I love to be super frugal about my expensive hobby -I always try to find ways to make stuff for less.
I was inspired by Illustrated Faith’s, “Confetti,” Kit in product only as I didn’t purchase their devotional. I was also inspired by LindseyDecor in her bible journal entry using IF’s Confetti kit, where she documents the celebration of how many years she has walked with Lord. I thought that was such a neat idea!
I went to hobby lobby and just fell in love with this sticker set, which were 50% off at time- it reminded me so much of the Confetti kit, which had products from the Hooray! Collection. I purchased two, one that was dimensional and the other was flat with the same images as the dimensional set. (shown in the video)
I finally, had time to sit and document this entry to celebrate the years I have walked with the Lord. I grew up in a Christian home, so I was aware of being different than my peers and I knew about God in the elementary kiddy way of knowing God. The fact that I grew up in a Christian household made me ignorant/ not giving thought to one day accepting Christ as my personal savior. I guess I just thought I go to church, my parents are Christian, I’m a Christian so I thought that was all that was required.
Well, one day (I was 12 by this time) one of the older ladies of the church came up to me and asked me if I had accepted Christ as my savior. I said, ” I think so,” she then asked me a series of questions. Then told me that just because my parents have made their individual choice to accept Christ, that doesn’t mean that I have accepted Him. She then told me that accepting Christ has to be a personal and individual choice, not something your parents can do for you. In short, she asked me if I would like to accept Christ and have my name written in the book of life- I said, YES! It has now been 18 years since then and it has definitely been a roller coaster of a ride but it is all worth it to one day hear my Father say, “Well done my daughter!”
I love how the entry turned out! What a great way to document and celebrate the anniversary of your salvation. BIG shout out to LindseyDecor for the inspiration!
By the way, my new illustrating bible is amazing! I just love the extra margin space I now have. If you would like to get yours or buy as a gift I have an affiliate link. (click picture in supplies list)

*fyi* I did not use the Hooray collection but hobby lobby doesn’t have an affiliate link to use to post here. I did hyperlink the sticker set I used above, this is an alternative if you want to use the exact collection used for IF Confetti kit.
